The future of New Mexico’s libraries is up for discussion among New Mexico librarians as various task forces report back on their findings following up on a statewide conference last year. Sustainable public funding, alternate funding sources and e-rate/broadband were identified in the 2016 Libraries Transform New Mexico conference as key issues facing libraries statewide. Tomorrow (October 17, 2017), the dialogue about these key issues will resume during a follow-up convening of the Libraries Transform New Mexico Conference. Tom Trowbridge spoke with New Mexico State Library Bureau Chief Ryanne Cooper to discuss.
