Oct. 30 - Summit Tackles Surprising Topics Young People Worry About The Most

This week at the Genoveva Chavez community center hundreds of teens were gathered to discuss issues impacting young people. They focused on issues brought up in a survey sent to students around the city.  At a press conference before the summit began, Mayor Javier Gonzales convened a group of department heads, school officials and student leaders. The Mayor complimented Santa fe school superintendent Dr Joel Boyd, for his work improving the quality of schools, but the mayor reiterated that much of a child’s learning comes outside of school time.
