Later this week, the movie, “The Battle of the Sexes,” based on the high-profile tennis match between the aged former star Bobby Riggs versus Billie Jean King, the top-ranked female tennis player of the day.
Some time ago, KSFR’s Martha Burk had the opportunity to interview King, whose defeat of Riggs silenced the male-chauvinist braggart, but added fuel to the gender equity battle, then it its infancy.
