The Republican Governors Association has purchased more than 100-thousand dollars’ worth of television time in New Mexico for airing a political ad that begins airing today. Attorney General Gary King won the Democratic gubernatorial nomination in Tuesday's primary and will face GOP Governor Susana Martinez in the November general election. The RGA has been airing negative ads against Democratic gubernatorial candidates in other states, including Iowa. A spokesman for the group declined to describe the advertisement.
A pro-environment organization says the bulk of candidates it supported in Tuesday’s New Mexico Primary election won, and is pledging to assist candidates in the November general election. Demis Foster is Executive Director of Conservation Voters of New Mexico.
