This just in: New Mexico is back to dead-last place for child poverty in an annual report that evaluates child well-being; we're at 49th place for kids' well-being overall. This doesn't come as much of a surprise--We haven't made it above 48th place in the National Kids Count rankings since 2012.
New Mexico Voices For Children analyzes and publishes New Mexico's Kid's Count data. KSFR's Kate Powell checked in with Dr Veronica Garcia, director of New Mexico Voices for Children, about the results of the report and how it affects the priorities of child wellness advocates in the state.
