April 7 - AARP Tax Assistance Is Not Just for Seniors

Your federal and state income tax returns are due to be filed a week from tomorrow. With that in mind, KSFR reporter Mary Lou Cooper spoke recently with American Association of Retired People, or AARP, New Mexico Director Gene Varela, about tax assistance for seniors and others.  AARP, the world’s largest membership organization, brings tax assistance to some two-and-a-half million people nationwide.  Last year, the group provided tax help to almost 50-thousand New Mexicans.
