Santa Fe mayor will not seek reelection

Santa Fe Mayor David Coss has just announced he will not seek a third term in office. That leaves the field wide open for aspiring candidates to the city's top post in next year's election.

Coss says he has yet to make any decisions regarding his future political life but told Hutton Broadcasting this morning that his decision could be seen as clearing a path for seeking other office in the future.

Coss made an attempt to run for New Mexico’s House of Representatives District 46 last year but was defeated in the primary.
